1968
Kinedyne was founded in 1968 in a small building in central New Jersey with the intent to sell cargo securement products used by the transportation industry.
Over the course of five decades, Kinedyne has evolved from a single facility in New Jersey to an international organization with more than 500 employees at facilities in four different countries around the world. As we grew and our product lines evolved, we believed that with Better Cargo Securement – Greater Cargo Capacity – and Faster Cargo Access Technologies, we can make the increasingly complex shipping environment just a little easier for the industry to deal with today and as the future unfolds.
All of the efforts throughout our history have enabled us to provide our customers the products, service, and support that they have come to expect from us over our five decades of growth. We’ve earned our right to be called The Cargo Control People.
To provide premier solutions that offer better cargo securement, greater cargo capacity and faster cargo access through our commitment to responsive design, quality manufacturing and superior support.

To be the global leader of safe and innovative products offering better cargo securement, greater cargo capacity and faster cargo access.
Kinedyne was founded in 1968 in a small building in central New Jersey with the intent to sell cargo securement products used by the transportation industry.
Our presence in the United States increased over time and a warehouse was opened in Georgia in 1973 to support growth in the southeast region.
We broke ground in 1986 on a new 16,000 square foot facility in Prattville, Alabama to expand our capacity to manufacture high quality synthetic web material for use in Kinedyne straps.
The first Kinedyne facility in the western United States was opened in 1987 in California, and later relocated to Nevada, to provide better service to our West Coast customers.
Kinedyne completed a major acquisition in 1989 when we purchased the Cargo Control division of Aeroquip Corporation of Lawrence, Kansas. This gave us access to the Aeroquip line of cargo securement products and their manufacturing technology.
Twelve months later, we broke ground on a new 47,000 square-foot facility in Lawrence to serve as Kinedyne’s main operational facility. This led to a consolidation of all manufacturing and warehousing operations in the area into a single location.
We continued our tradition of pursuing cutting edge of technology when a state-of-the-art roll forming and powder-coating facility was opened in 2000 in Painesville, Ohio. The plant would later be relocated to the Prattville facility to take advantage of operational efficiencies.
The first Kinedyne manufacturing facility outside of North America was opened when Kinedyne Limited started operations in Kunshan, China with the intent to implement our strict quality control standards for all of the company’s manufacturing operations in the region.
Kinedyne achieved a major milestone in 2008 when we celebrated 40 years in business. At the same time, we once again took steps to invest in our future when we broke ground on a new 200,000 square foot state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Nantong, China.
The new facility opened in 2009 and will serve as the base of operations for more than 300 of employees in the region. Our professional and highly qualified staff in Nantong will support all of Kinedyne’s manufacturing, quality control, engineering and supply chain management activities in the region.
Kinedyne has grown over four decades to be recognized as the leader in cargo control products. Our broad product offering has grown over time thanks to a variety of in-house capabilities. We achieved this leadership position in our industry by striving for excellence in several key areas: Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Customer Service.
Our newest manufacturing facility in Nantong, China represents an unprecedented expansion of our production capacity to include webbing production, as well as metal fabrication, processing and finishing. The ability to control manufacturing lead time on these parts further enhances an already impressive service and quality commitment. The range of operations under one roof in our new Nantong facility are unmatched by any other cargo control supplier.
Our quest to develop the most advanced securement products has yielded such breakthroughs as the Sliding Winch, the Kaptive Beam™ System, and the Kaptive Hook and Rail System. Kinedyne will continue to lead the way in Cargo Control Products.
Our corporate mission is to attain the highest Quality standards in our industry. Components used to fabricate Kinedyne products are processed through rigorous quality controls to ensure the highest possible performance and reliability of finished assemblies. Finished assemblies are manufactured by Kinedyne, and its affiliated companies, to the latest applicable international standards and specifications. Certificates of product performance can be furnished upon request.
Kinedyne has set the standard in the cargo control industry because our products meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. Our manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China help us improve the service and value we provide our customers. As a vertically integrated manufacturer, our goal is to use our in-house capabilities to ensure we can control everything that goes into a Kinedyne product, from the raw material through to the finished product.
